Covid-19 Response

OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Titan is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities.

As a family-run company, we consider our employees, dealers, and customers part of our family. We are here to serve and  support them, because we know that we will get through this together.

Titan Solar Power is categorized as an Essential Business and is strongly encouraged to stay operational. This is because we provide services that have an impact on our world and the local economy.

We are following all CDC-recommended precautions to create a safe work environment while remaining open.  We are also looking at unique ways to help in our communities and highlighting how others can join together to make a difference.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 epidemic, our employees’ health is at the forefront of all of our decisions. That is why we are proud to be the first business in Arizona to offer to purchase and provide COVID-19 testing to our employees. By providing access to testing during these unprecedented times, we hope to present a safe space to continue to support our customers and communities by being informed on our health.

To limit the spread, Titan has adopted telecommuting practices for our office employees and implemented strict protocols that maximize interpersonal space for field employees who are considered “Low Risk”.

Our installers work in small teams of four, which is well below the current Government recommended 10-person minimum.  Our site surveyors work independently and require no contact with others. Our service technicians work in crews of one to two.  All Titan employees have been instructed on all safety and decontamination measures during this time. Additionally, Titan has purchased face masks, gloves, and sanitizing equipment for all field employees nationwide.

We have implemented new CDC-recommended cleaning processes that include a biweekly facility-wide fogging, a full “terminal clean” and wipe downs of all hard surfaces. These are performed by certified environmental services technicians trained to clean hospitals and health care facilities.

Any employees who feel sick are also encouraged to consult with Titan’s Telemedicine provider “HealthiestYou”, a free service offered through our Medical Insurance.

HOMEOWNERS’ HEALTH

Titan Solar Power has adopted a NO CONTACT policy to protect our homeowners.

Titan is committed to reducing the risk of COVID-19 while still enabling people to go solar. Going solar involves much less contact than you might think as the majority of our work requires limited interpersonal interactions. We just need the ability to get onto your property, that is why we have adopted a NO CONTACT policy.

The following precautions have been put in place to minimize face-to-face interactions between our employees, partners, and customers:

  • Any documents requiring a signature can be left in a safe space on the Customer’s property (i.e. mailbox and porch). Our staff will communicate a time frame to drop off and pick up these items.
  • Customers do not need to be present during any work. On the date of any scheduled work, Customers just need to ensure that we have access to the electrical service panel and/or sub-panel and all pets are secured inside.
  • If we do require access inside of a residence, Customers can leave side doors unlocked or leave their garage open for us to enter. We will ensure that we disinfect all areas that we come in contact with and maintain 6 feet of personal space from anyone inside.

Customers are encouraged to contact Titan with any concerns. We will do our best to make any accommodations necessary to complete their project while keeping their safety top priority.

If you are a Titan customer and have questions regarding the actions Titan is taking regarding your safety or need to make accommodations to anything we have outlined above, please CLICK HERE TO EMAIL US.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

During this challenging moment in time,  we’re learning how to leverage our partnerships to help assist our local and global communities. We’ve teamed up with LG Chem to donate 1,000 N95 Masks to first responders in our hometown, Mesa, AZ.  Titan employees are also stepping up to help. During our COVID-19 testing, we’ve asked employees to bring non-perishables and gift cards from local small businesses to donate.

We’re also continuing to support our trusted charity partners like Phoenix Children’s Hospital, whose Family Assistance Fund is fully operational giving families that have limited resources additional supplies like gas, food, and lodging support to help make their experience a little bit easier and allowing them to focus on their children. Another critical partnership is with Child Crisis Center, who is working to ensure homeless and vulnerable young children and youth in Arizona have access to nutritious food during this time by providing emergency response funds to support their daily meal program.
